About the Program

Can I pursue Teacher Certification as part of my Master’s work?
No, we have discontinued Teacher Certification at the Master’s level. However, if you are interested in pursuing art teacher certification at some point, please contact Dr. Christina Bain:

Can I do the program through distance learning?

Can I do the program part-time?
Only under certain circumstances. Please set up an appointment with the Graduate Advisor to discuss this.

Do you have double or dual programs with other graduate programs?
No. However, there are many portfolio programs that may supplement your work in Art Education. Some programs may require additional coursework hours. View a list of portfolio programs.

How much does it cost?
View tuition rates and estimated living expenses.

How do I fund my degree?
Assistantships and Fellowships are available, but not guaranteed.

Do I have to submit a separate application to receive fellowships, grants, or teaching assistantships?
No, all candidates who are offered admission are automatically considered for funding possibilities. However, to meet students' financial need as best as possible, we strongly recommend all applicants fill out a FAFSA application as soon as possible, regardless of whether or not they intend to take out student loans.
