Graduating senior Daniela Echavarria has been named a Dean's Distinguished Graduate. Echavarria participated in the Mesoamerica Center's Maymester study abroad program–Ancient and Colonial Heritage in Central America: Cultural Treasures of the Maya. She received a scholarship from Art History, and went on to do her capstone project this year based on what she started in our department’s study abroad program, “El Mirador: The Social and Political Challenges in the Maya Biosphere Reserve.”
