Lorena Diosdado (b.1998) is an artist living and working in Texas and California. Her practice is in dialogue with the sociopolitical history of Latinxs in the USA and the politics of visibility. She earned her B.A. in Art Practice with Honors and a minor in Education at Stanford University and is currently an MFA candidate in Painting & Drawing at the University of Texas at Austin. Her work has been exhibited at the de Young Museum of Art (San Francisco, CA), Coulter Art Gallery (Stanford, CA), 6th Street Studios and Art Center (Gilroy, CA), and the Visual Arts Center (Austin, TX). She was awarded the Chappell Lougee Fellowship and the Raina Gese Award in Painting in 2021, and the Ruth Ann Marmion Endowed Scholarship for the Visual Arts in 2024. She is a 2025 Artist in Residence at Mexic-Arte (Austin, TX).
