Department of Art and Art History Undergraduate Admissions

Incoming Freshman

If you are a prospective student looking at our programs and admissions information, please be aware that we’ll be launching a new website in August 2017. While much of the content will be the same, its organization will be somewhat different. Please bear with us as we make this necessary change, and don’t hesitate to reach out to our admissions staff if you have any problems with the new website.

Application Deadline: December 1

  • Begin your ApplyTexas application to the university by following the Office of Admissions instructions.
  • Applicants to Studio Art, Design, and Visual Art Studies must also submit a portfolio through SlideRoom to complete their application.
  • All applicants must submit a short answer for Art and Art History in addition to the required three short answers on the ApplyTexas application.
