Marie Du Mond (she/her) is the Academic Advisor for the Department of Art and Art History. She advises the approximately 500 undergraduate students in the department, assisting students majoring in Studio Art, Art History, and Art Education. Marie provides one-on-one advising and support to students with their course registration, degree plan questions, progress towards graduation, and all issues related to their academic success.

She previously worked as the Development Events Associate at the Blanton Museum of Art, planning and supporting the execution of opening events for Ellsworth Kelly’s Austin. Prior to that position, she held an administrative role in the College of Fine Arts’ Student Affairs division. Marie earned a Bachelor of Science in Radio–Television–Film from the University of Texas at Austin.

In her free time, she enjoys planning themed movie marathons with her wife, staring at her perfect cat, and creating new cocktails at home. She also enjoys visiting local galleries and buying more art than she has wall space to display.
