The College of Fine Arts has a strong focus on college-to-career success as it emphasizes experiential learning opportunities that help students transition successfully into the working world. The college offers multiple programs that help undergraduate and graduate students pursue valuable internship experiences, networking opportunities and professional development programming created specifically for arts students.

Fine Arts Career Services

College of Fine Arts Career Services empowers students and alumni to own, shape and celebrate their personal and professional paths. A dedicated team works to ensure that Fine Arts students have the awareness and skills needed to engage with the artistic, cultural, economic and technological forces shaping the arts today. The office provides a comprehensive range of offerings, including tailored career coaching, coursework, specialized student programming and annual signature events.

Intern Scholarships

Fine Arts Careers Services and the College of Fine Arts offer need-based intern scholarships to undergraduate and graduate fine arts majors to give all students the opportunity to professionalize their artistic and entrepreneurial ambitions. Students may apply for up to $2,000 of funding to support their internship experience. Students who are traveling outside of Austin for their internship may apply for an additional $1,000 to use towards travel and lodging.

Professional Development Travel Fund

The College of Fine Arts and Fine Arts Career Services also offer financial support to qualifying students who design their own professional development travel opportunities through the Professional Development Travel Fund (PDTF). The PDTF provides up to $500 for travel to professional development opportunities. All currently enrolled undergraduates whose majors are in the College of Fine Arts are eligible to apply.
