The lecture will focus on the overall practice of Merideth Hillbrand, whose recent exhibition, Some fields and track goes through, is currently on view until end of September at The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas. The exhibition explores cross-overs between sculpture, installation, and industrial design.

Merideth Hillbrand is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Los Angeles, CA. Her work includes sculpture, installation, video, writing, and photography. She was the recipient of the 2019-2020 St. Elmo Fellowship and currently has a solo exhibition Some fields the track goes through at The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, TX up until the end of September. Her work has been included in group shows across the United States such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Culver Center, Riverside CA; Riverside Art Museum; Steve Turner Gallery, Los Angeles; and Southern Exposure in San Francisco. She received her MFA in 2019 from The University of California, Riverside.
