Dr. Noah Simblist (Ph.D. in Art History, 2015) and artist Lauren Woods will be leading a conversation at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, titled “Reading Monuments: An Introduction.” The panel discussion is in conjunction with the national project Reading Monuments, where Dr. Simblist serves as artistic director. Reading Monuments is a coalition where reading groups examine the future and legacy of various Confederate monuments in Dallas/Fort Worth; Richmond, Virginia; Atlanta, Georgia; and New Orleans, Louisiana.

“Reading Monuments: An Introduction” is part of the Tuesday Evenings at the Modern Lecture Series’ 2019–2020 program. Simblist and Woods’ talk with be on Tuesday, March 19 at 7pm.
