Center for the Study of Ancient Italy announces collaboration with UT Classics, welcomes affiliate members

The Center for the Study of Ancient Italy (CSAI) in the Department of Art and Art History is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the Department of Classics at UT Austin. CSAI will add Classics professors Andrew Riggsby, Alex Waltham, Adam Rabinowitz, and Rabun Taylor as affiliate members of the Center. Joining them will be Professor Emerita of Classics Ingrid Edlund-Berry.

According to CSAI director Michael Thomas, “We are honored and excited that this distinguished group of scholars and teachers will join CSAI as affiliate members. They bring with them extensive experience and knowledge of the archaeology and culture of ancient Italy, and we look forward to their contribution to our mission of interdisciplinary and interdepartmental research.”

All five affiliate members will join current CSAI professors Penelope Davies, Nassos Papalexandrou, and John Clarke in planning the Center’s new and expanded programming designed for both undergraduate and graduate students.
