UT alumna Ingrid Tremblay’s (MFA in Studio Art, 2018) solo exhibition Madeleine is currently on view at the Clark Center in Montreal, Canada. In Madeleine, Tremblay arranges her sculptural works throughout the Centre’s floors, walls and plinths, exaggerating their scope and scale in relation to the viewer. The exhibition will be on view from October 24 – November 30, 2019.

“Ingrid Tremblay’s exhibition Madeleine—her first solo since her return from the United States—is inspired by past experiences, images, affect, sites, and memories that meet in the present and that she materializes as objects,” according to official press materials from the Clark Centre. In Madeleine, Tremblay also utilizes descriptive writing through a study of tales, myths, and stories; “to convey the distinct relationships between language, perception, and experience.”
