Join the Visual Arts Center for the opening of their fall 2017 season, including the following exhibitions.

  • BurlsHoovesandShells on a Pedestal of Conglomerates, a site-specific installation by Vaulted Gallery Artist-in-Residence Larry Bamburg

  • Fool’s Romance / Books from Aeromoto, a collection of over 300 artist’s books from the Mexico-City-based, non-profit art library

  • American Dream, an exhibition of paintings made in the plein air tradition during a recent course taught by artist collective The New Barbizon group

  • Kind of About Michigan, new work by Studio Art MFA candidates Marta Lee and Anika Steppe in response to a shared summer road trip around the state

  • Mille Otto, the annual exhibition of work made by students participating in the Learning Tuscany study abroad program

Before the Opening

Come early for the opening and join us for the following events presented in conjunction with the exhibitions.

  • Aeromoto: In Conversation, a talk with co-founders Mauricio Marcin and Maru Calva. 3:30–5pm, ART 1.120

  • Conversation & Cribbage, Marta Lee and Anika Steppe’s telling of and Q&A about their Michigan road trip, all while engaged in a friendly game of Cribbage. 3:30–5pm, ART 1.120
